  • High School Diploma or GED

  • A good driving record

  • ​No DWI's in the past 5 years​

  • No more than 2 DWI convictions in a lifetime.

  • Able to pass a fingerprint background check at the Federal, State, Local and Tribal levels.

  • Able to lawfully possess a firearm and ammunition

  • Able to pass a psychological evaluation

  • Able to pass a pre-employment, post and random drug screening via DOT and or hair follicle testing. (Current Marijuana usage is an automatic disqualification.)

Type of Position Open: Entry Level Armed (Level 3) Security Officer

What is the Starting Pay: $13.00 hr. - $15.00 hr. depending on experience.

Is there overtime: Yes, Scheduled and Voluntary Overtime

Location: Gallup, NM

Number of positions open: 1

Is this a Part-time or Full-time position?: Full-time, with rotating shifts, and 24/7, 365 coverage.

Experience Required: Not required

Do I need a Valid, Unrestricted Driver's License?  Yes, you have to be able to be insured and must be able to legally operate a patrol unit or personally owned vehicle. 

Level 3 Card Required: Yes

Do you need a Level 3 Card to Apply: No, this is an Entry Level Position

Is this a static post or a patrol location: It is both and will require you to conduct mobile patrols and foot patrols.

Do I need my own transportation? Yes, you will need it to get to and from work when a unit is not available.

Do I need to purchase my own equipment: No, the only thing you will need to purchase on your own is a good quality flashlight (Streamlight, Surefire, ASP or similar lights are recommended) and a pair of black or tan Duty Boots. (Bates, Hi-Tec or similar)

Will I need a cell phone: Yes, you must have a working smart phone with an active data plan and internet capabilities. 

Will an iPhone be okay: It will work but an Android is highly recommended.
